Climate Dynamics- MimiFUND

@davidanthoff and everyone,

I have a question regarding the Climate Dynamics component in MimiFUND. Are the temperatures computed in the Climate dynamics component actual temperature values, or are they the deviations or excesses above the preindustrial?

In the Climate Dynamics component, I noticed that temperatures are initialized at 0.20. I need to confirm whether these temperatures represent values above preindustrial levels, as the documentation was not clear on this. The output temperatures seem quite low, which is why I’m seeking clarification on this part of your code.You mentioned here (see below) that T denotes temperatures above the preindustrial, but I still need to confirm if that is the general idea.

If so, does that mean your damage estimates are with respect to the preindustrial? What is the reference point of the damage computation? Because I just assumed the damages got a reference point.

Peter

Hi Peter, thank you for your question and happy to see you using Mimi!

Hi,

The “Issues” tab is missing from the MimiFUND repository, unlike other IAM repositories. This makes communication rather laborious for me.

Could you let me know how to proceed?

Thanks.
